In this kaleidoscopic dance-theater piece by OBIE-winning theater company Hoi Polloi (Celine Song’s Family, Three Pianos), over 20 performers depict a community reeling in the aftermath of the recent U.S. election. Blending humor and darkness, the ensemble shares text, music, and movement that reflect a cacophony of anxieties, anger, and strategies of those on the political left. Winning is Winning marks a return for Hoi Polloi to the large ensemble format typical in its early years, exemplified by work such as The less we talk, and All Hands.
